The District Nurse lingers for a chat after checking up on her 2 patients – a proud mum and her new-born baby. It looks like all is well, and perhaps Nurse has suggested Mum puts baby into the pram for a while? It’s a beautiful summer’s day and what better than a bit of gentle sunshine and some fresh air? It might even give Mum a few minutes to call her own! The household pet (a very patient spaniel) happily guards the garden gate and will alert Mum if need be. We wonder what or who is next on Nurse’s list of visits; one thing is certain, everyone will feel better, brighter and comforted after a call from this calm, caring and dedicated lady. We hope you’ll enjoy this cheerful design; it may even rekindle past memories.Artist Trevor Mitchell is Yorkshire born and bred, and is the creator of our Happy Days at work, Gardening World, Railway Heritage and Cosy Cottages series.
